The African Safari Zoo is a French zoological park located in Occitanie, in the commune of Plaisance-du-Touch, in the Toulousaine suburbs. Founded in 1970 by Patricia and Jean-Marc Toniutti as the zoological park of Plaisance-du-Touch, it was renamed in 1990. Expanded on 20 hectares, since the last expansion in 2014, it allows to discover 600 animals of 80 species.
Over the period 2005 - 2015, its average annual attendance was 157 000 visitors. It is led by the son of the founders, René-Pierre Toniutti. A permanent member of the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EAZA), he is committed to ex situ conservation by participating in European programmes for endangered species (EEP).
