The Himalayan bridge of the Drac crossed the Drac shortly before Lake Monteynard-Avignon and between the municipalities of Lavars and Mayres-Savel, in Isère and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in France. It thus links the natural regions of Matheysine and Trièves.
