About

The Boutiron Bridge or Boutiron Bridge is a road bridge on the Allier River, downstream of Vichy, near the town of Boutiron, located in the commune of Creuzier-le-Vieux (Allier). It connects the municipalities of Creuzier-le-Vieux, on the right bank, and Charmeil, on the left bank, by RD 27. Inaugurated in 1913, this reinforced concrete bridge is the work of engineer Eugène Freyssinet, who first implemented a type of cargo section with its name: the Freyssinet joints. It was listed as a Historic Monument in 2021.
