About

The Chancy Bridge (also known as the Pougny Bridge) is a road and pedestrian bridge on the Rhône River, located on the border between the canton of Geneva in Switzerland and the Ain department in France.

Location: The Chancy Bridge is the 17th most downstream bridge of the Rhone after leaving Lake Geneva and the last on Swiss territory. It connects the localities of Chancy on the left bank and Pougny on the right bank. The border passes in the middle of the Rhône. Customs posts, now decommissioned, are located on both sides of the bridge.

A measuring station is installed near the bridge to monitor water quality.
