pont de La Brillanne
The bridge of La Brillanne is a stone bridge, allowing to cross the Durance, on the communes of La Brillanne and Oraison. The bridge that connects Oraison to the right bank of the Durance, built on 7 huge arches, contributed greatly to the development and prosperity of our commune. It was inaugurated on 29 April 1888.
His inauguration was marked by splendid festivals in which the Félibrige took part. As Frédéric Mistral said: "As beù Duranço faire éfrai - Per cut me the rubo the above deck te passarai - And you're a desouto. (You are beautiful, Durance, cut off the road to scare me, I will pass on the bridge, and you will pass under it.") For its centenary, this bridge was given rehabilitation work that has further enhanced it.
