City gate
porte Nointel
The Nointel Gate is one of the remains of the city walls of Clermont-en-Beauvais, in the Oise. This city gate has been classified as historic monuments since 22 March 1937. It was built in the 14th century, when the fortifications of the city were built.
Today only the lower arcade remains. It allowed the Middle Ages the passage to the suburb of the pier bridge, Compiègne and Nointel (origin of the name).
