About

The Saint-Antoine Gate, now extinct, was one of the gates of Paris, at the eastern end of the city. There were two successive Saint-Antoine gates, the first of the very beginning of the 13th century and the second that existed from the middle of the 14th to the end of the 18th century, in two different places along Rue Saint-Antoine, in the current 4th arrondissement of Paris. The second was the best known, protected by the fortress of the Bastille.
