The Serpenoise Gate is a city gate located at the corner of Robert Schuman Avenue and General Gaston Dupuis Street in the Metz Centre district. It remains the symbolic witness associated with several historical events in the city of Metz, which marked the southern limit of the third century during the construction of the Roman rampart until the beginning of the twentieth century when the enclosure was destroyed.
