About

The refuge of the Fournache is located at 2,330 m above sea level, on the Maurienne slope of the Vanoise massif, on the edge of the national park, in the commune of Aussois. The shelter has blankets, mattresses and is equipped with gas and heating. It is borrowed to browse GR 5.

From the shelter, it is possible to climb the Parracé tooth. It is a former alpine chalet completely rebuilt in stone and lauze, overlooking the dams of Plan d'amont and Plan d'aval.
