The square Dominique-Bernard (formerly called Square Jules-Ferry) is a green space in the 11th arrondissement of Paris.
The site is accessible by 1 Jules-Ferry Boulevard. It occupies its central land. To the north, the square is extended by square Frédérick-Lemaître. It is served by lines 5 and 9 at Oberkampf station.
Origin of name: Until 2024, he paid tribute to the statesman Jules Ferry (1832-1893). In 2024, the Paris Council decided to rename it in tribute to Dominique Bernard, a teacher murdered in October 2023 in Arras by a jihadist.
Remarkable buildings and places of memory: The square is decorated with a stone statue, made in 1911 after a sculpture presented in 1909 by Jean-Bernard Descomps.
