The Rachmaninov Garden is a green space in the 18th arrondissement of Paris.
The square is surrounded by Tristan-Tzara Street, Cross Moreau Street, and Tchaikovsky Street. It is served by line 12 at Marx Dormoy and Porte de la Chapelle stations located on Rue de l'Gospel at the level of No. 35 where Tristan-Tzara Street begins.
Origin of name: He paid tribute to Serge Rachmaninoff (1873-1943), a Russian composer, pianist and conductor, naturalized American.
History: The 5,400 m2 garden dates back to 1991. It was designed by landscaper Kathryn Gustafson and is planted with various essences. These include copalmas, micocouliers, charms, pyramid oaks, tulip trees and paulownias. There is a central basin where a creek is set up surrounded by steps. The creation takes place within the framework of the Gospel ZAC (cooperative planning area of the street of the Gospel).
