The Montansier Theatre is the theatre of the city of Versailles located in the department of Yvelines (France). It is an 18th century Italian theatre located in the heart of the Notre-Dame district and a few steps from Versailles Castle and Royal Opera. The hall was inaugurated on November 18, 1777, in the presence of Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette. This theatre was born under the impulse of Marguerite Brunet, known as Miss Montansier, whose name he now bears.
