The Eldorado Theatre is a former theatre, music hall and cinema in the 3rd arrondissement of Lyon. It was built in 1894 on the grounds of a former brewery, at no 33 Cours Gambetta. It was listed as a Historic Monument in 1982 and was finally destroyed in 1993 and removed from historical monuments in 2010.

History: The Eldorado Theatre was established in 1894 on the site of a former brewery of the Cours Gambetta, which in 1846 belonged to Messrs Bouvard and Gouffard and was sold in 1853 to Messrs Piolat and Jean-Paul Corrompt. In 1877, the brewery was held by the widow and son of Jean-Paul Corrompt until 1891, where it was purchased by Mr. The establishment then starts performing in the evening. During 1894, the brewery's buildings and grounds were purchased and demolished for the construction of a performance hall. The construction is entrusted to the architect Claudius Porte. The Eldorado opened on 15 June 1894 and quickly became very popular. Some residents of the Moulin-Rouge take part in the inauguration.
