The British Iron Wood Cemetery (Flatiron copse cemetery) is a military cemetery in the municipality of Mametz, Somme department, north-east of Amiens.

History: The name of the cemetery comes from a grove that the tommies name Flatiron copse. A military cemetery was established at the end of July 1916, after the British soldiers of the 3rd and 7th British infantry divisions took over the area. Burials continued until April 1917. After 11 November 1918, 1,149 remains of soldiers from the nearby battlefield were transferred there.

Characteristics: There are 1,568 graves in the British cemetery: 1,520 British, 30 New Zealanders, 17 Australians and 1 South African.
