About

The Jaulny viaduct is a railway structure overlooking the Mad Rupt Valley between Thiaucourt-Regniéville and Jaulny, in the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle in the Grand Est region. This 480-metre long structure is the highest of the Eastern European LGV. This viaduct consists of a bridge consisting of a double steel housing supported by only six reinforced concrete piles spaced 80 metres apart. The viaduct overlooks both the valley of the Rupt de Mad, classified as a natural area of ecological, faunistic and floral interest (ZNIEFF), as well as the railway line Lérouville-Metz.
