About

The church of Notre-Dame-des-Anges, also known as "Our Lady of the Assumption", was a church in Angles, Vendée, in 1913. In the Catholic parish of Notre-Dame de Lumière, Masses are celebrated today. Built around 1210, the church was one of the components of a south-facing abbey, which included a cloister, dormitories, a refectory and a capitular hall. The abbey, as well as the church, were originally occupied by canons governed by the rule of St Augustine before the latter were destroyed during the wars of Religion.
