The church Saint-Bernard de Lyon is located in the 1st arrondissement of Lyon, ascent Saint-Sébastien. It was consecrated in August 1866, although not finished: without bell tower and without court. Temporarily closed as early as 1891 because of the existence of various underground galleries (network of Fantasques and fish edges) and the twine tunnel that shake its foundations.

It was desecrated in 1999 and closed completely since March 2004. Owned by the city of Lyon, it planned in 2016 to transform it into an office building, despite the proposals to purchase the priestly fraternity Saint-Pie-X.
