Church building
église Saint-Ferréol de Saint-Fergeux
Description: The gate is under a square peg tower, stones and bricks. The vaults of the nave are supported by capitals decorated with leaves of water and palmettes. Inside the church, the marble altar, a flamboyant washbasin and two Renaissance washbasins, a 17th-century crucifix and an organ buffet attract eyes. The axis of the nave and the axis of the choir form a broken line. Also noteworthy are Jacques Wilbault's paintings: the departure of the prodigal child, the Resurrection, the Rosary Institution.
Location: The church is located on Rue de l'Église, in the centre of the commune of Saint-Fergeux, in the French department of the Ardennes.
History: The church has undergone several reconstructions. The pillars of the nave, the transept, and the choir were from the 16th century, but the nave's vault was from 1876. The vocals of the choir are even more recent. The building was listed as historic monuments in 1926.
