chapelle Saint-Goustan
Saint-Goustan Chapel is a former Catholic place of worship located in the commune of Croisic, in the French department of the Loire-Atlantique. It was classified as historical monuments in 1840.
Presentation: The chapel Saint-Goustan is one of the oldest occupied places on the peninsula of the Croisic. The initial chapel bears witness from the eleventh century to the miracle connected with the grounding of the monk Goustan on these coasts and to the trace of his body left on the rock where he rested. The chapel was rebuilt in 1895 on the private grounds of the Manor House of Saint-Goustan and was no longer assigned to public worship.
