St. Louis Church, Rochefort

The church of Saint-Louis is one of the main parish churches of the city of Rochefort, in the department of Charente-Maritime. Among the few testimonies of the neo-classical architecture of the department, its construction was carried out under the direction of architect Felix Garde in 1835. One of the side chapels houses the tomb of the intendant of the navy and the generality of La Rochelle Michel Bégon, who contributed to the beautification of the city at the end of the seventeenth century.
