Église Saint-Michel d'Espéraza is a church located in the commune of Espéraza in the Aude department in the Occitanie region of France. The church (except for classified parts) was listed as historical monuments in 1956. The wall covered with murals in the sacristy was classified as historical monuments in 1956.

History: A place of worship dedicated to Notre-Dame was built in Espéraza by the Abbey of Alet in the ninth century. It was destroyed during the Albigeian Crusade. A new church dedicated to Saint Michael was built in the 13th century along the Aude following a model of Romanesque inspiration, with an apse and two apsidioles. The church was destroyed in 1575 during fighting with Protestants who were cut off in the village. The church of the 13th century remains only the traces of an arch in the middle of the wall. The bell tower could be a remnant of this church. The church was rebuilt in the 17th century with a flat bedside. The work was completed in 1664. The church has been restored...
