About

Saint-Milliau parish church is located in Plonévez-Porzay. The original parish church (1585) no longer exists. It was dedicated to St Stephen before being dedicated to St Milliau.

It was a church like Kerlaz and Ploeven. Lightning struck its bell tower twice: the first time on May 9, 1802 and the second time on December 26, 1805 at 8 p.m., the day of Saint-Étienne's forgiveness. The parish's forgiveness was celebrated before the French Revolution on October 2, the day of Saint-Milliau, which was unemployed.

Since 1833 this saint has been celebrated on the second Sunday of August. The present parish church was built in 1867-1868 and its bell tower in 1873. Jules Boyer of Châteaulin drew up the plans.
