église Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Romain de Savennières
The church Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Romain de Savennières in Maine-et-Loire is a parish church whose nave dates back to the fifth century, with a construction probably carried out around 427. It is thus one of the oldest churches in the region preserved in elevation, perhaps raised in connection with the episcopate of Saint Maurille, whose presence is mentioned at Savennières around 450. Since the church's heritage value was identified in the first half of the 19th century, it is one of the monuments on the first list of listed historical monuments established in 1840.
