Location: The church is located in the French department of Morbihan, in the commune of Quistinic. It is associated with the chapel Saint-Mathurin (name in reference to the Parisian community of Mathurins who settled in Quistinic in the 17th century and was at the origin of its construction), the center of a pilgrimage and a great forgiveness that takes place on the second Sunday of May.

History: An entry from the parish register of Quistinic indicates that "the ninth day of January one thousand seven hundred and thirty five about the seven hours of the evening & second Sunday of the month a hurricane (sic) overturned the parish church of Quistinicq". The present Saint-Pierre de Quistinic church was built from 1749 to 1752 in order to restore a functional parish church to the village. The first stone was laid on 2 March 1749, according to the testimony of the parish registers, where the ceremony was mentioned. At the end of the work in 1752, a blessing ceremony was performed on February 13. The dedication of the church to St Peter is then indicated. The building was listed as historical monuments in 1928...
