Saint Sulpice Church is a Catholic church located in the municipality of Saint Sulpice. of Daubèze in the French department of Gironde, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. Originally dedicated to Saint Sulpice, the church is now under the aegis of Notre-Dame.
Location: The church is located in the heart of the village, along the departmental road D123 (Rauzan to the north and Saint-Brice to the south).
History: Built in the 12th century, the church consists of a unique nave, a vaulted transept of warheads and a small arched apse in cul-de-four. The sacristy is north of the apse. The bell tower with curved panels was added in the 18th century. The building was rebuilt several times and, during the Revolution, was burned down and then restored. The consequence of these transformations is that the original Romanesque church is almost non-existent. A particular feature of the church is the portal, which is to the north: in an indefinite period, the present portal was built from Romanesque capitals and Gothic columns, which gave it a very heterogeneous appearance.
