Saint-Denis Church is a Romanesque church located in Maizières-la-Grande-Paroisse, in the Aube department. It is probably one of the oldest churches in the department.

History: It formed a parish under the abbey of Saint-Quentin de Beauvais and the dean of Marigny. It has a chapel to Saint John the Baptist and another to Saint John the Evangelist.

Architecture: The oldest part, dating from the 12th century, is a tiled Romanesque style; It consists of a main nave not vaulted and two lateral naves including that on the right vaulted in 1897; the central nave leads to the tower, which is vaulted in a cradle. It consists first of four spans with cylindrical pillars, the arches are in full hanger. The fifth span, has a warhead arch, but little slender. The second part of the church which is covered with slate, which includes the apse and double transept dates from the seventeenth century as indicated by the date 1653 inscribed above the stained glass windows. Perhaps they completed a reconstruction that would have followed a fire during the Wars of Religion, a fire whose traces were found during repairs...
