About

A few kilometers southeast of Bourbonne-les-Bains, in the Haute-Marne, stands the church of Villars-Saint-Marcellin, built under the patronage of Saint Marcellin. The church dates from the 11th and 12th centuries. The entrance tympanum, choir and crypt were classified as a historical monument (in 1846 and 1909) at the request of Prosper Mérimée. The choir and bell tower set is Romanesque.
