The castles of Lastours (in Occitan Las Tors, litt. "The Towers") are four ancient castles known as the Cathar castles of the 12th and 13th centuries as part of the Royal Fortresses of Languedoc, they have been rebuilt and rebuilt many times until the 17th century. Today in ruins, their remains stand on the French commune of Lastours in the department of Aude in the Occitanie region.
The ruins of the four castles are classified as historical monuments by order of 31 October 1905. All the remains of the castles of Lastours, namely the castral complex (castral castles and castral village of Cabaret) is inscribed by order of 27 December 2023, which is partially replaced by a classification order of 4 December 2024. He is a candidate for UNESCO heritage registration in conjunction with the city of Carcassonne, all the Royal Fortresses of Languedoc, the "Five Sons of Carcassonne" which are the castles of Aguilar, Peyrepertuse, Puilaurens, Quéribus and Termes and also with the castle of Montségur.
