The ancient quarry of the Corderie is an archaeological site located in the 7th arrondissement of Marseille, Saint-Victor district, boulevard de la Corderie. Discovered during preventive archaeology work in 2016-17, this quarry was used to extract the building materials needed to establish the Greek colony of Massalia. It was used from the sixth century BC to Roman times in the production of monumental blocks for construction and sarcophagus.
