site paléolithique du Rozel
The Paleolithic site of the Rozel, also known as the Pou site, is a prehistoric site located in the commune of Rozel in the Manche department of Normandy. The site, consisting of several levels of Neanderthal land, is dated to about 80,000 years. It has revealed traces of occupation whose remains are very well preserved, including numerous footprints of steps and hands, as well as animal legs, which make it an exceptional site for the knowledge of this extinct species from the genus Homo to the recent Middle Paleolithic.
