The Beaumetz Croos Road Cemetery is one of two military cemeteries of the First World War located in the territory of Beaumetz-lès-Cambrai, Pas-de-Calais. The second is Beaumetz-les-Cambrai Military Cemetery N°1.

Beaumetz Cross Roads Cemetery

Location: This cemetery is located 500 m south of the village near Notre-Dame de Lourdes Chapel.

Beaumetz Cross Roads Cemetery

History: Beaumetz-lès-Cambrai was occupied by the Germans in late August 1914 and remained far from the front until 1917. The village was captured by the enemy on March 22, 1918, after an obstinate defence of the 51st and 25th divisions and finally resumed in the middle of September. The Beaumetz Cross Roads Cemetery was inaugurated by combat units in March 1917 and used until February 1918.

Characteristics: This cemetery includes the graves of 283 Commonwealth soldiers, 99 of whom are not identified and the graves of 4 Germans. It covers an area of 1,405 square meters and is surrounded by a flint wall on three sides.
