About

Boringe Castle (in Latin Buringium, Buringho), also known as Pont de Boringes or Pont-sur-Arve, is a castle from the beginning of the 13th century, rebuilt during the second half of the 13th century, abandoned around the 17th century and since in ruins, located in the present commune of Reignier-Ésery. The castle was the center of a seigneury for a short period before becoming a chestnut in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.
