The Museum of Disembarkation of Arromanches-les-Bains commemorates the landing of Normandy on June 6, 1944, and in particular the construction of the artificial port of Arromanches and its use during the Battle of Normandy from June to August 1944 to refuel Allied troops across the Channel.
