Bertier Castle or Château des Confluences, is a castle located in the commune of Pinsaguel, Haute-Garonne.
Geography: Castle located between the Garonne and Ariège at their confluence about ten kilometers south-west of Toulouse.
History: Former castle owned by the Bertier family lords of Pinsaguel, renovated in 1762 as a neo-classical castle.
Description: The first foundations of the castle date back to the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. Reconstructed at the end of the 18th century, the castle consists of buildings surrounding the courtyard of honour on three sides, the house body having in return two wings with outbuildings and connected to the main building by two higher pavilions. The house body has two floors and opens with an architecture of brick pilasters crowned with a pediment. On both sides of this facade, two rounded windows hang wings in return, also on two floors.
