parc des Buttes-Chaumont
The Parc des Buttes-Chaumont is a public garden located in the north-east of Paris, France, in the 19th arrondissement of the city. With nearly 25 hectares, the park is one of the largest green spaces in Paris. Inaugurated on April 1, 1867 during the last years of Napoleon III's reign, it was a realization of the engineer Adolphe Alphand and the landscapers Jean-Pierre Barillet-Deschamps and Édouard André. This English garden mimics a mountain landscape: rocks, cliffs, torrents, waterfalls, caves, alps, gazebos.
