The Via Julia Augusta (VIA IVLIA AVGVSTA) is an important Roman route linking Plaisance to the Var, along the coasts of Liguria and those of the Alpes-Maritimes. It thus allowed to connect Gaule cisalpine with Gaule transalpine. It was a section of via Aurelia.
