Clets Castle

The castles of the Clets, also known as Clées or Clefs, are medieval feudal fortifications, missing, which were located on the commune of Clefs in Haute-Savoie. Two of them were the center of the seigneury of Val des Clets. The article presents three buildings, a seigneurial castle, possession of the family of Clets, a comtal castle, seat of the power of the Counts of Geneva on the Val des Clets, as well as a chestnut, and a fort house. In the 19th century, a master house, called the "Château des Clefs", was built at the site of the seigneurial castle.
