The church Saint-Médard is located at 141 rue Mouffetard in Paris in the 5th arrondissement, on the left bank of the Seine, south-east of Montagne Sainte-Geneviève. Built from the 15th to the 18th century, it is the parish church of the faithful of part of the 5th arrondissement, district of the Jardin-des-Plantes and part of the Val-de-Grâce district, as well as part of the 13th arrondissement, parts of the Croulebarbe and Salpêtrière districts. Since the separation of the Churches and the State of 1905, it has been owned by the City of Paris and has been assigned (exclusive and free use) to Catholic worship.
