The Passy barrier was a barrier to the granting of the General Farmers' compound.
Situation: The Passy Barrier was located on Billy Pier, now New York Avenue, at the corner of Mountain Street, now Beethoven Street. It was not located in front of the Cunette barrier on the left bank but about 200 metres upstream. From the Passy barrier, the grant wall ran along the wharf on the opposite side of the river (buildings on the current New York Avenue from Beethoven Street to Le Nôtre Street and a little beyond this street along the current Trocadéro Gardens) and then climbed Chaillot Hill parallel to the current Le Tasse Street to the Sainte-Marie barrier at the corner of Passy Cemetery and Trocadéro Square. In this climb, the wall passed to the limit between the domain of the convent of the Visitation of Chaillot, which extended over the current gardens of the Trocadéro and that of the convent of the Minimes.
