About

The House of Loo is a private museum of Asian art located in Place Gérard-Oury and 48 rue de Courcelles in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. It is occupied by the activities of the gallery CTLoo & Cie. Occupying a Chinese pagoda-shaped building ("La Pagoda") that features atypical architecture in its neighbourhood, it is the wish of an Asian art merchant and collector, Ching Tsai Loo.

He had a classic mansion transformed into a red-coloured pagoda by architect François Bloch in 1925 or 1926. The collection is "1,300 books, 3,000 exhibition catalogues, 3,000 original photos and many rare objects". The building, nicknamed the "Red Pagoda" or "Pagoda Paris", was listed as historical monuments in 2002 and 2006.
