pendule astronomique de Passemant
Passemant's pendulum, called the pendulum of Louis XV, is an instrument designed and produced in France in the mid-18th century by Claude-Simeon Passemant. A masterpiece of watchmaking and ornamentation, it is preserved at the Palace of Versailles. The pendulum is located on the first floor of the main building, in the king's small apartment. She gave her name to the law firm of La Pendule, which had housed her since 1754, except for a transfer to Paris from 1797 to 1833.
