monument à Alfred Sysley
The monument to Alfred Sisley is a statutory group located in Moret-sur-Loeng, France. Directed by Eugène Thivier, it consists of a bronze bust of the painter Alfred Sisley on a pedestal with a stone sculpture depicting a young woman symbolizing the Loing Valley. The building inaugurated on 15 July 1911 on the Champ de Mars at the western entrance of Moret, under the chairmanship of Étienne Dujardin-Beaumetz, is erected thanks to a public subscription initiated by the committee of the Sisley monument with inhabitants of Moret, and the notable participation of Francis Picabia. In 1994, the monument was moved to Samois Square, in front of the Samois Gate, near the tourist office and the Moret Municipal Museum.
