Notre-Dame-et-Saint-Vaast d'Arras Cathedral is a Catholic church located in Arras, France. It is the cathedral church of the Diocese of Arras. It was built in 1778 as the abbey abbey abbey abbey and became cathedral in 1804, replacing the former cathedral Notre-Dame-en-Cité d'Arras, the great Gothic cathedral in the west of the old town that had been destroyed during the French Revolution. It is a classically designed building designed by architect Pierre Contant d'Ivry, known for being also the masterpiece of the Madeleine church in Paris. The rector of the cathedral is Father Pierre Marie Leroy.
History: It bears the name of Notre-Dame and Saint Vaast, the first bishop and patron saint of Arras.
