chapelle Notre-Dame-du-Puy du Château
Notre-Dame-des-Châteaux, or Notre-Dame de Beaufort, is a sanctuary — chapel and place — located on the remains of the main castle of Beaufort on the plateau des Vanches, in the French commune of Beaufort en Savoie. This sanctuary, founded following the Saracen incursions of 942 by Bernard de Beaufort, allowed the development of a religious period of the site with the arrival of the Dominicans of Annecy from 1536 to 1793 and the rise of the first assumptionist alumnat from 1871 to 1903. Currently, the acquisition by the Association des Amis de Notre-Dame des châteaux in 1937, adapts the place as a reception house.
