The Sainte-Bathilde chapel in Chelles, in the French department of Seine-et-Marne, in the Île-de-France region, which had become too small to accommodate all parishioners, was desecrated on 7 June 2021 and then destroyed. Instead, a new project was created in the form of an ecclesial centre comprising a church with a capacity of 800 places.
