fontaine érigée en l’honneur de Claude
The Fountain erected in honor of Claude was discovered in 1967, on the occasion of the drilling of the Fourvière tunnel. It was originally on the right bank of the Saône, on the slopes of the Fourvière hill, at the bottom of the Choulans climb. The water flowed through the mouth of a Cyclops' head.
Above, the inscription indicates that the fountain was offered by two characters who dedicated it to Jupiter in honor of Claude. This Lyon monument is a unicum.
