About

The Chambord gardens are ornamental gardens located in the national domain of Chambord which includes the castle and the forest park, in the department of Loir-et-Cher and the region Centre-Val de Loire in France. The English garden is located west of the castle and is freely accessible; the French garden is located to the north and east of the castle and is accessible only to visitors of the castle. The Château de Chambord, built under François I, does not originally have gardens. The outskirts of the castle are marshy and the sovereign has focused his effort on the architecture of the castle.
