The University Botanical Garden of Poitiers is located on the Deffend estate in Mignaloux-Beauvoir, next to the Poitiers university estate in the Vienne department, and is maintained by the University of Poitiers. It has an area of 33 hectares including 18 for collections, 6 for woods and 9 for research. Its creation dates back to 1385, and it was in 1962 that the state detained him, then the University of Poitiers.
