Noslon or Noslon Castle also writes Nolon is the former pleasure house of the Archbishops of Sens. Located a few kilometres north of the city, this seigneurial residence is located in the municipality of Cuy (Yonne). In medieval times, the archbishops of Sens acquired the property of a "castle" which would be fortified in the troubled period of the Hundred Years War.
At the beginning of the 18th century, the castle was partially demolished and rebuilt to two thirds, "being in ruins and worn out". The final completion, in the years 1750-1760, was due to Paul d'Albert de Luynes, who made it his ordinary place of residence. In the perimeter of the property, the archbishop will also build a large farmhouse to replace old outbuildings.
Becoming a national after the Revolution, the estate was dismantled and the castle demolished. Today, only the farm body remains. This specialized farm, owned by the Lorne family, is known as the Vergers de Noslon.
