château du Frankenbourg
Frankenburg Castle is a ruined medieval castle located on the top of the Schlossberg mountain, between the villages of Neubois and La Vancelle, in the south of Lower Rhine. The castle was probably built on an older site, as evidenced by the presence of a protohistoric wall (one of the pagan walls of Alsace, in cyclopean apparatus) and traces of a Celtic and Roman settlement.
